As a first grader Maisie has nightly homework which includes math, spelling and reading.
She is an AVID reader who literally has her nose in every book she picks up. She devours information and loves to share her knowledge. Her latest obsession is tooth loss (since she's lost 2 and has another loose one)... after reading an encyclopedia, she proudly came into the living room declaring that her first set of teeth are called "milk teeth"... I did not know that. My brilliant 6 year old is teaching me ! Can't wait for algebra to begin (insert sarcasm).

Tonight's reading assignment included that she make a character from a play. This is the finished product of "Big Max" a troll chasing goat. While Maisie focused on the task at hand, Juliette did what she does best... ride her scooter through the house like a mad woman.

The scooter rides are actually helping her with balance issues and strengthening her core. I've moved the furniture out of the way so that she has a race course to navigate. Oh so much fun !!
